1. The Nigeria Immigration Service on Friday dismissed eight of its personnel from the service for various offences relating to indiscipline, employment racketeering and other forms of corrupt practices. Also, 18 officers were sanctioned for the same reason.

2. Eighteen people have been killed in different communities by suspected herders in the Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. The incident, according to locals, happened on Thursday at Ukohol and other adjourning villages as the suspected herders went on killing spree.

3. The Osun State Police Command on Friday said its operatives arrested two suspected ritualists caught with items believed to be human hair and flesh. A statement by the command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, said the suspects, Ojo Gbadebo and Babatunde Hamsat, were caught around Oke Ona, a community along Iwaraja/Erimo road.

4. The Oyo State Police Command said on Friday it has begun investigation into the killing of an official of the National Examination Council, Vincent Odinko. It was gathered that some armed robbers invaded the staff quarters of the University of Ibadan where Odinko was working on his laptop and shot him dead.

5. A Federal High Court in Abuja, yesterday, issued an order of interim forfeiture of 40 landed properties belonging to the former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu. Justice Inyang Ekwo, the trial Judge, gave the order following an ex-parte motion filed and moved by Ibrahim Buba on behalf of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

6. The Minister of State for Education, Goodluck Nanah Opiah on Friday said that funding education should be a contributory effort and not the sole responsibility of the government. While advocating for a dialogue on how to fund education for the overall interest of all, the education minister said there must be alternatives for funding.

7. Barely four months after its suspension, Dana Air on Friday, November 4, 2022, announced that it will resume flight operations from Wednesday, November 9. The development was disclosed in a statement issued and made available to newsmen by the Chief Operating Officer, Ememobong Ettete on Friday.
