No Automatic Ticket for Peter Obi for 2027 Election - Labour Party

Labour Party says there will be no automatic ticket for Peter Obi for the 2027 Election.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the Labour Party has insisted that Peter Obi, the former Anambra governor, will not receive an automatic ticket to contest the 2027 Presidential election in Nigeria.

This online news platform recalls that Peter Obi was the 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party following his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party.

The Labour Party insists that the president, the governorship and other positions are up for contest this time.

Obiora Ifoh, Labour Party’s National Publicity Secretary said this in a chat with DAILY POST over the weekend.

The Labour Party National Publicity Secretary said: “No political party gives automatic tickets, all positions are up for contest”.
