PDP Chairman and others have dumped the party to APC.
NewsOne Nigeria reports that the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gwargwada Ward in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, northern Nigeria, Danlami Yanga and his followers have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party.
This online news platform understands that the PDP ward chairman and his followers announced their defection to APC at a stakeholders’ meeting in Gadabuke town on Monday, January 4.
Announcing his defection, Danlami said, “I and my followers decided to dump PDP and join APC because of the pragmatic leadership style of the APC-led administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule, and the State Assembly Speaker, Balarabe Abdullahi.
“I am calling on my supporters and people of the area to give the present administration all the needed support to succeed,” he said.
This coming after a former state lawmaker, Madaki Ada-Goje and former administrator of Gadabuke Development Area, Benjamin Belodu also dumped PDP for APC.
