‘Obidients’ paid to march for Peter Obi in Nasarawa — Deji Adeyanju

A mammoth crowd trooped out to stage a one million march in support of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed in Nasarawa state capital, Lafia on Saturday ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The State chairman of the party, Alexander Emmanuel said the one-million-man march was to sensitise the people of the state on the necessity to vote for credible leaders in next year’s elections as well as send a signal to other political parties who claimed the Labour Party does not have a structure.

Speaking on the march, Obi said it was a symbol of an unwavering obligation of Nigerian youths to rescue Nigeria from bad governance.

Obi expressed this on his verified Twitter page on Sunday, while commending the traders, commuters, artisans and other Nigerians that came out for the march.

He said: “I am sincerely encouraged by the unwavering commitment of Nigerian youths to the OBIdient movement, aimed at rescuing the nation from bad governance.

“The recent 1 million march, recently embarked on by OBIdients in Nasarawa State is very well appreciated by the OBIdient family. It’s a great step towards taking back our country. “Just like them, I deeply appreciate every Nigerian who has continued to labour in our country, for the good of the nation. I assure you that our labour will never be in vain.”

Peter Obi ‘ll not last if he wins, he ‘ll be impeached – Reno Omokri

Former aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan, Pastor Reno Omokri has advised Nigerians to vote for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, in the forthcoming presidential election.

Reno disclosed this in a statement on his facebook handle. He alleged that the candidate of Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, would be impeached if he eventually wins the election.

He noted that Obi would not last if he does not have senators from his party in the senate.

Reno who is the number one best-selling author, equally said that Peter Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed were products of PDP and were Atikulating in 2019. He expressed optimism that the duo would return back to PDP.

His words: “Both Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed are PDP products. Both of them were Atikulating in 2019. PDP is their natural home. They are just on sabbatical. After sowing their wild oats in Labour, they shall return, and we will welcome them. Even if you are Obidiently Yusful, still be Atikulate and vote Atiku!

“We love Obidients in PDP. You are like our grandchildren. We gave birth to Peter Obi and Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, and they gave birth to you. A stream cannot deny its source. You guys are the stream, and we are the river that feeds you.

“In fact, Obidients should vote for Atiku, because even if they vote for Peter Obi and he becomes President, which is very unlikely to happen, he won’t last on that seat without having Senators in the Senate. He could be impeached within days of being sworn in.”

Those fighting Peter Obi never had sense, Obidient movement not ordinary – Catholic priest

Nigerian Catholic priest serving in Malawi, Rev. Fr. Kelvin Ugwu has said some Nigerians opposing the presidential ambition of Peter Obi never had sense.

In a post on his verified Facebook page, Fr Kelvin stated that the current movement for the Labour Party presidential candidate is not ordinary.

Citing his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the LP and his wide acceptance across the country, the popular clergy described Obi’s ambition and move as a divine arrangement.

He called on the attackers of the former Anambra State governor to reverse, stating that they “can’t fight him and you can’t stop him. Just remove hands for im matter”.

According to the priest, every single person that had tried to pull the LP candidate down so far had “ended up killing and making a mess of their reputations”.

He wrote, “Whatever is following Mr. Peter Obi is not ordinary. If you sincerely reflect over every step he had taken so far, from leaving PDP to finding his running mate, the timing of his moves, accuracy of plans and thoughts. They are nothing but divine arrangements.

“Some of those fighting him actually never had sense before, but we never knew, we were even ‘gbaming’ them then. . .but with Peter Obi, every doubt about them has been totally removed”.
