Presidency Gives Update On Port Harcourt Refinery As Crude Oil Production Begins

The presidency has given an update on Port Harcourt Refinery.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the Presidency has revealed that about 200 trucks are set to load petroleum production at Port Harcourt Refinery following the commencement of the government-owned plant.

Sunday Dare, the Special Adviser, Media & Public Communication to the President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, disclosed this in a post on the micro-blogging site, X formerly known as Twitter on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

His statement comes as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company on Tuesday announced that Port Harcourt Refinery has commenced crude oil processing.

Reacting, the Presidential media aide said, “200 trucks are expected to load products daily from the refinery, Renewing the Hopes of Nigeria.”

Dare added that “the Port Harcourt refinery has two wings.

“The Old Refinery comes on stream today with an installed production capacity of 60, 000 barrels per day of crude oil.”
