President Buhari has appointed another northerner into top position.
Newsone reports that Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reappointment of Dr Garba Abari as the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
This online news platform understands that the reappointment of Garba Abari who is from Yobe State, northern Nigeria, was made known by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in a statement issued in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Thursday, May 27.
Newsone reports that the statement was signed and made available to newsmen by Mr Segun Adeyemi, the Special Assistant to the President (Media) in the Office of the Minister.
The information minister said the appointment, which took effect from May 25, 2021, was for a final term of five years.
Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that Abari was first appointed to the position in 2016.
