President Buhari Makes New Appointments
President Buhari has made new appointments.
NewsOne Nigeria reports that Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has renewed the appointment of Mr Joseph Chiedu Ugbo, as the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).
The president also conveyed his approval for the renewal of the appointments of Babayo Shehu and Ifeoluwa Oyedele as Executive Directors of the NDPHC for another period of 4 years.
President Buhari also approved the appointment of three additional directors for the organization to guarantee more effectiveness and efficiency in the discharge of its activities.
Buhari appointments
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Office of the Vice President, Laolu Akande, on Thursday, said that:
“President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of Mr Joseph Chiedu Ugbo as the Managing Director of Niger Delta Power Holding Company and Messrs Babayo Shehu and Ifeoluwa Oyedele as Executive Directors respectively.
“This renewal will take effect from August 25, 2020 for a period of four (4) years.
“The appointment of three (3) additional directors have also been approved for more effective and efficient coverage of the company’s areas of activity,”
Also a tweet by the Presidency confirmed the development saying: “President @MBuhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of Mr Joseph Chiedu Ugbo as Managing Director of Niger Delta Power Holding Company and Messrs Babayo Shehu & Ifeoluwa Oyedele as Executive Directors respectively, with effect from Aug 25, 2020 for a period of 4 years.”
