President Buhari has mourned the death of Lagos APC Bigwig.

Newsone reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the family of a prominent businesswoman and committed stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bewaji Olajide Kuku, who passed on recently.

This online news platform understands that the President’s condolence message to the family of the Lagos APC bigwig was contained in a statement by his spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu, on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

According to Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity: “The President condoles with the APC family in Lagos State on the loss of a frontline politician who contributed time and resources to the development and cohesion that have become the hallmark of Lagos as the City of Progressives.

“President Buhari recalls her indelible contributions in the Policy, Research and Strategy Directorate of the APC Presidential Council in 2015 and also the deployment of her experiences as a chartered administrator to galvanise and enhance the participation of women in political activities.

“The President urges family and friends to take solace in the fact that the lives touched by the Alajegbade of Lagos with her philanthropic gestures, will continually resonate after her departure.

“He prays for the repose of her soul,” the statement on the death of the Lagos APC bigwig added.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that Alhaja Kuku passed away on January 31, 2023, and her remains have been buried.

Apart from President Buhari, the APC Presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Bola Tinubu, also sent a message of sympathy and condolences to the Kuku and Akanimodo families on the passing of a prominent grassroots politician in Lagos State

According to a statement by his Media Office signed by Mr. Tunde Rahman, the APC candidate described Kuku as not just a community leader and grassroots politician but also a successful businesswoman who impacted many lives.

Tinubu said the deceased contributed immensely to the development of Lagos State and was particularly committed to her Ikoyi-Obalende area, where she did a lot to uplift the quality of lives of many people.

Commiserating with the Kuku and Akanimodo families, Asíwájú Tinubu said though the loss of a much-beloved person is always painful, the two families should take solace in the exemplary life the late Lagos APC bigwig lived and the legacies she left behind.
