Presidential Election Tribunal: What Galadima Said About Buhari

Buba Galadima, a factional member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday testified against President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Yaahoo Journalist had reported earlier that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, presented Galadima, a spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign Organisation, as its witness at the presidential tribunal in their suit challenging Buhari’s victory at the February 23 poll.

The former spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign Organisation claimed to be the National Chairman of the Reformed APC and he said Buhari has been well-known to him since the 1960s and had worked with him since his presidential campaigns in 2003.

In a statement obtained by Yaahoo Journalist, Galadima said he left Buhari’s camp because the president failed in delivering his promises to Nigerians.

While responding to Buhari’s lead counsel, Wole Olanipekun (SAN), who asked Galadima whether he was aware his daughter serves in Buhari’s government, Galadima said his daughter assisted in the president’s victory.

“I want to say that my daughter you mentioned is one of the most qualified Nigerians and is more qualified than anybody in this government. She has two first degrees, three Master’s degrees, and is doing her fourth Master’s degree,” he said.
