Tiger Woods Car Crash: Trump Sends Message To Tiger Woods

NewsOne Nigeria recalls that Tiger Woods was involved in a “high-speed” single-car accident outside Los Angeles, United States at 7:12 a.m, Tuesday morning, February 23, per the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department, and was in “serious condition” after undergoing surgery for multiple injuries to his legs.

This online news platform understands that the golfer was the sole occupant of a 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV when he headed northbound on a downhill, windy portion of Hawthorne Ave., a two-lane road in Rancho Palos Verdes. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said Woods was driving at a “relatively greater speed than normal” when his vehicle crossed onto the wrong side of the road before veering off the road entirely and onto a hillside. A neighbor called 911 to alert authorities of the accident, and Woods was conscious when they arrived on the scene.

A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy who was the first to arrive said he found Woods still in the driver’s seat, wearing his seatbelt, and that the golfer was able to tell him his name was Tiger.

The 15-time major champion was lucid and calm, but potentially in shock, and didn’t seem to be concerned with his injuries at the time, Deputy Carlos Gonzalez said.

Los Angeles County Fire Chief Daryl Osby told CNN’s John Berman that Tiger Woods was alert and oriented and was trying to “self-extricate” but he was stuck.

Firefighters used a pry bar and an ax to free the golfer, who this past weekend hosted a PGA Tour event in the area but didn’t play because of a recent back surgery.

The 45-year-old Tiger Woods, was in California for a two-day content shoot with Golf Digest/GOLFTV after serving as host for the Genesis Invitational, which finished on Sunday. Pictures surfaced on social media of Woods smiling with Dwayne Wade and David Spade at Rolling Hills Country Club on Monday, but with his movement still restricted from the back procedure he had just a few months ago, he did not hit balls or play any holes.

Discovery Golf, parent company of Golf Digest and GOLFTV, issued the following statement: “Tiger has a long-term partnership with Discovery developing exclusive content for GOLFTV and Golf Digest. He was filming his latest series with us yesterday, which will see him giving on-course instruction to a number of celebrities including Jada Pinkett Smith, Dwyane Wade and David Spade. He was due to continue filming with us today.
“Everyone at Discovery and Golf Digest wishes Tiger a speedy recovery and our thoughts are with him, his family and his team at this time.”

Former President of the United States, Donald Trump, has sent a message to golfer, Tiger Woods after he was was involved in a car crash.

Amy Kremer, an American political activist and a Trump supporter, who became involved in the Tea Party movement in 2009, Trump sent a message of Hope to Tiger Woods after the crash.

Trump, who is not longer on Twitter, was quoted by Kremer, to have said: “Get well soon, Tiger. You are a true champion!”

Kremer tweeted: “President Trump on Tiger Woods after car accident, “Get well soon, Tiger. You are a true champion!”

Trump, it was learned, wished his friend and occasional golf partner Tiger Woods a speedy recovery Tuesday night, noting how Woods has been able to overcome serious health problems in the past.

“He’s going to be back,” Trump said. “I have no doubt about it, he’s going to be back.”
