1. The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) has admitted in evidence documents tendered by the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi in defence of his petition against President Bola Tinubu. The documents which were tendered through the petitioner’s first witness, Mr. Lawrence Nwakaeti, included a United States District Court judgment.
2. Osun State Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Ojo has sentenced Dr Rahman Adedoyin, owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife to death by hanging. Earlier, Justice Ojo declared that Adedoyin, owner of Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife, where Timothy Adegoke, an OAU postgraduate student was allegedly killed, was culpable of murder.
3. Gunmen suspected to be cultists on Monday night killed four persons and cut off the heads of two of the victims in Rundele community, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State. It was gathered that the two beheaded persons were members of a local vigilante group known as the Rundele Security and Peace Advisory Council.
4. Newly promoted Ukrainian Premier League club FC Polissya Zhytomyr have announced the capture of Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Chijoke Aniagboso. Multiple reports say the 19-year-old goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a five-year deal that will keep him at Polissya Zhytomyr until the end of the 2027/28 season.
5. Less than 24 hours after President Bola Tinubu declared an end to fuel subsidy, the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, has skyrocketed to N600 per litre from N195 in many parts of the country.
6. The House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee on the State of Refineries in the country has said the Federal Government spent a total sum of N11,349,583,186,313.40 from 2010 to date. The Chairman of the committee, Ganiyu Johnson, however, failed to convince the Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase, who chaired the Committee of the Whole, to consider the report.
7. The House of Representatives has commended President Bola Tinubu for his decision to remove subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol. The commendation was sequel to the unanimous adoption of a motion of urgent public importance moved by a member of the House, Jimoh Olajide (APC/Lagos), at the plenary on Tuesday.
8. President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday asked the Department of State Services (DSS) to vacate the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Ikoyi, Lagos, immediately. The DSS had laid siege to the office of the anti-graft agency on Tuesday morning.
9. Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday. Wale Edun, former Lagos Finance Commissioner and James Faleke, a House of Reps member, were also at the villa for the closed door meeting.

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, former Kano State Governor, has said he did not attend the inauguration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, popularly known as Abba Gida-Gida, due to concerns about the potential for violence between their supporters. Ganduje, in an interview with BBC Hausa, said he has no issues with the new government in the state.
