1. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) yesterday directed banks to commence the payment of the redesigned Naira notes over the counter, subject to a maximum daily payout limit of N20,000. Director Corporate Communication, CBN, Osita Nwanisobi disclosed this in a statement, adding that the apex bank will collaborate with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to prosecute abusers and sellers of the naira notes.
2. The Director-General of the Atiku-Okowa Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign Council in Rivers State, Abiye Sekibo, has alleged that the State Governor, Nyesom Wike had ordered his loyalists and followers to support the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu. According to him, the aides are currently mobilizing voters for Tinubu.

Justice Inyang Ekwo gave the order on Thursday, while delivering judgment in the suit filed by LP to challenge the non-recognition of its candidates in 24 States.
