A United Kingdom Commercial and Arbitration Court, has ordered a stay of execution of a previous judgment that asked the Nigerian government to pay $9.6bn worth of assets to Process and Industrial Developments Limited (P&ID), a company on the British Virgin Islands.

YaahooJournalist reports that the UK Court asked the Nigerian government led by President Muhammadu Buhari to make a “Security Payment” of $200 million to the court.

Nigeria has been granted leave by the United Kingdom Commercial and Arbitration Court, to appeal a previous judgment that asked the Nigerian government to pay $9.6bn worth of assets to Process and Industrial Developments Limited (P&ID), a company on the British Virgin Islands.

YaahooJournalist reports that judgment came on Thursday, September 26 after several court cases saw some of the officials of the company pleading guilty.

5. Islamic State ‘Kills 14 Nigerian Soldiers’ In Borno State

Islamic State said via its Amaq news agency that it killed 14 Nigerian soldiers in the northeast state of Borno in attacks on Wednesday, September 25.

A military source told Reuters that there were clashes in the state after the insurgents ambushed soldiers.
