1. The All Progressives Congress has prayed the Presidential Election Petitions Court in Abuja to dismiss petitions filed by three opposition parties challenging the victory of its presidential candidate, Sen. Bola Tinubu, in the Feb. 25 election. The APC urged the tribunal to discountenance the petitions, in three separate responses filed at PEPC’s Secretariat, Sunday night, by Thomas Ojo, a member of the party’s legal team led by Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, in Abuja.

2. Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Revd. Mathew Kukah, yesterday, scored the 2023 general election low as he said it failed to meet the expectations of a substantial size of the over 200 million Nigerian populace.

A man identified simply as Bendega has been accused of using his mobile phone, laptop and camera to snap pictures and record videos of him and his female lovers engaging in sexual intercourse without their consent. It was gathered that Bendega, after perpetrating the crime, also sold his lovers’ nude videos and pictures.

4. Prof Onje Gye-Wado, a former deputy governor of Nasarawa State, who was abducted on Thursday night, has been released after a ransom of N4 million. The professor of law was kidnapped from his country home in Rinza, near Wamba, headquarters of Wamba Local Government Area of the state.

8. A year after suspected armed bandits attacked the Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, in Ondo State, the worship centre was reopened yesterday for religious activities. The church was reopened for Easter amid a massive turnout of worshippers marking the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Founder, RIG Nation and Pioneer Church, United Kingdom, Prophet Tomi Arayomi, has announced the relocation of his family out of the country, until a “better Nigeria.” Arayomi and his wife Tahmar, who are both British citizens, were on Friday arrested alongside their aide, Emmanuel Ezerika, by the Department of State Services at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja.

10. No fewer than 15 people have been killed in a fatal crash that occurred in Enugu State on Saturday. According to a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Bisi Kazeem, on Sunday, the road crash was caused by excessive speed and route violation.
