The governorship election petitions tribunal sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, has dismissed the petition filed by the African Action Congress and its governorship candidate, Biokpomabo Awara.

Yaahoo Journalist recalls that Awara had challenged the victory of Governor Nyesom Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party.

However, at the resumption, the three-man panel led by Justice J.A Ojaiko dismissed the petition on technical grounds, that both the first and second petitioners abandoned their petitions.

Yaahoo Journalist learned that the governorship election petitions tribunal dismissed all applications filed on behalf of the AAC by Awara.

The tribunal also dismissed for incompetence another application for a pre-trial hearing.
