NewsOne Nigeria reports Election Tribunal nullified the election of Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri and his deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpoon Monday morning, August 17.
The development followed a petition filed by the Advanced National Democratic Party (ANDP) over its exclusion in the November 16, 2019, Bayelsa governorship election.
A three-member panel held the election was unlawful due to the exclusion of Action Democratic Party (ADP) and its candidate, King George from the November 16, 2019 governorship election.

In a judgment delivered on Monday, Justice Yunusa Musa ruled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) “unlawfully excluded ANDP from the election.”
The presiding judge then ordered INEC to conduct a bye-election in Bayelsa state within 90 days. Justice Musa also directed the Commission to include ANDP in the fresh election.
