A US F-15 fighter jet has crashed in Kuwait amid the Iran war.
Newsone Nigeria reports that at least one US fighter jet crashed in Kuwait during an Iranian missile attack on an American air base.
A video footage sighted by this reporter showed a US F-15E Strike Eagle spiralling downwards with its engine on fire, six miles from the Ali Al Salem base.
The US F-15 fighter jet pilot ejected, landed safely and was helped by locals. The status of the weapons system operator, the other crew member, was unknown.
It was not known whether the jet was shot down by an Iranian missile, hit by friendly American air defence rockets or suffered a technical malfunction.
Kuwait’s defence ministry claimed on Monday that “several” American warplanes had crashed and that all crew members survived.
Three American soldiers have been killed and five more injured since operations started on Saturday morning.
Donald Trump vowed to avenge their deaths but warned there would probably be more casualties before the war ended.
The conflict expanded on Monday after Israel attacked Lebanon. That was in response to Hezbollah launching strikes in revenge for the killing of Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei.
