Newsone Nigeria understands that a report has emerged claiming that Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, has finally been arrested by operatives of Department of State Services(DSS).
This online news platform understands that the report quoted an impeccable security source to have confirmed that Sunday Igboho was arrested on Friday afternoon, July 2, at Guru Maharaj ji village on Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The report said findings revealed that Sunday Igboho has been moved to the Headquarters of the DSS in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, along with Sat Gurumaraji, a powerful spiritualist, who harboured him in his ‘Kingdom’.
Newsone understands that the report which was sighted on some top Nigerian websites in Nigeria, quoted the source to have said that the federal government is taking serious steps towards stemming down the tides of indiscipline and unpatriotic actions from separationists who are allegedly disturbing the peace of the nation.
What we know about Sunday Igboho’s alleged arrest
However, a fact check by Newsone Nigeria, shows that the picture and video in the report showing Sunday Igboho and Guru Maharaj Ji, was first published on May 19, 2021.
Findings by revealed that the DSS was yet to arrest Suday Igboho whom the secret police had claimed turned to a big cat and subsequently arrested the cat.
