Newsone reports that Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the death of Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru, and other officers who were involved in the air crash that occurred in Kaduna on Friday.

This online news platform recalls that the military aircraft crashed on Friday evening, May 21, around the Kaduna international airport. Attahiru and 11 other officers were said to be on board the aircraft.

Reacting to the sad incident in a statement issued by Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, President Buhari described the incident as a “mortal blow” to the country.
