Worshippers in their numbers, stormed the Mosque in Aso Rock, the Presidential Villa in Abuja, hoping to witness the alleged marriage between President Muhammadu Buhari and Sadiya Farouq.

YaahooJournalist reports that the media has been awash with speculations that President Buhari is set to marry a second wife, with Farouq’s name mentioned as the second wife in the picture.

A report by PointBlankNews quoted sources in Aso Rock, Nigeria’s Presidential Villa, revealed that President Buhari is planning to marry Sadiya Umar Farouq, the incumbent Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.

The online news medium quoted a source who spoke on condition of anonymity that Ms. Farouk is a close friend of President Buhari and also well-loved by the ‘cabals’ in the President’s “Next Level” administration.

However, in anticipation of the wedding, worshippers stormed the Presidential Villa Mosque where President Buhari observed the weekly two raka’at jumaat prayer.

Presidential aides, some cabinet ministers and former governor of Zamfara, Abdulaziz Yari as well as Senator Kabir Gaya were among those that joined President Buhari at the Jumaat prayer.

The Jumaat prayer, however, witnessed an unprecedented number of faithful, who stormed the Villa mosque to confirm the authenticity or otherwise of the social media reports claiming that President Buhari would have a wedding Fatiha for a second wife.

However, the wedding did not hold at the Presidential Villa on Friday as speculated in some quarters.

The Presidency through Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser on Media and publicity,  denied the rumour that went viral on the social media, describing it as “false.”
