The local currency opened at N535.00 per $1 at the parallel market otherwise known as the black market, today, Thursday, 11 November 2021, in Lagos Nigeria after it closed N550.00 per $1 on Wednesday, 10 November 2021.

Even though the dollar to naira opened in the parallel market at ₦535 per $1 today, Newsone reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognise the parallel market, otherwise known as the black market. The apex bank has therefore directed anyone who requires forex to approach their bank, insisting that the I&E window is the only known exchange.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the black market, the players buy a dollar for N530 and sell for N535 on Thursday morning, November 11, 2021 after they bought N545 and sold N550 on Wednesday morning, November 10, 2021 .

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the USD started this week at ₦565 in Parallel Market also known as Black Market on Monday, November 8, 2021 in Lagos Nigeria, after it opened the same price last week Monday, November 1, 2021.
