BREAKING: Esabod Drags Lizzy Anjorin Over Alaafin Of Oyo's Death

Esabod Vs Lizzy Anjorin.

Esabod has dragged Lizzy Anjorin over Alaafin of Oyo’s death.

Newsone had reported earlier that a top Yoruba monarch, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has passed on. Alaafin of Oyo died in the late hours of Friday at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State in South-West Nigeria.

This online news platform understands that remains of the Alaafin of Oyo, the third from the Alowodu Ruling House, were brought to Oyo town, 62 kilometres from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, in the early hours of Saturday and traditional rites began, palace sources told this newspaper.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the Alaafin of Oyo was 83 years old and the longest-reigning Alaafin ever, having ruled for 52 years. The monarch had been sick and a plan had been made to fly him abroad before he passed on late Friday night.

Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, southwest Nigeria, made an official announcement upon receiving the report of the monarch’s passing from the Bashorun of Oyo, Yusuf Akinade, the head of the ‘Oyo Mesi’, who will now lead Oyo town before a new Alaafin is installed.

A source familiar with the medical travel plan said the tickets of Alaafin of Oyo and those of a few wives were already procured. The Alaafin of Oyo’s death came months after the two other senior Oyo State monarchs – the Olubadan of Ibadan, Saliu Adetunji, and the Soun of Ogbomoso, Jimoh Oyewumi – died. All happened in less than five months.

Reacting to Alaafin of Oyo’s death, Esabod, who has had a longtime rift with Elizabeth Aishat Anjorin, a Nigerian female actor and movie producer who features predominantly in the Nigerian Yoruba movie industry, popularly known as Lizzy Anjorin, berated the actress, calling her names.

In a post on the social media network, Instagram, Esabod uploaded the picture of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, with a caption that described Lizzy Anjorin as a “wicked person” and a “killer”.

The controversial social media critic captioned the photo of the late monarch: “Oba Lamidi Adeyemi is dead. Haha Lizzy Anjorin ika apaniyan.”

Apparently displeased with her constant attack on Lizzy Anjorin, Nigerians took to the comment section to berate Esabod. __ul09 wrote: “This woman na mumu, how lizy take be apaniyan now, if she charge u for court u go dey cry, no be 60th bday u did last time Abi na 62? Depe”.

Ladytee_hairstylist: “Stop this childish, you and Lizzy are not age mate you are old enough to be her mother.” While tunde_otuks wrote: “Mama pls refrain from talking on the Oba’s death for now to accord him his last respect, may Allah accept his soul and forgive his sins.”
