BREAKING: Finally, Police Arrest Adamawa INEC REC Hudu Yunusa-Ari

Adamawa INEC REC Hudu Yunusa-Ari has been arrested by the police.

Newsone reports that the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Adamawa State, Hudu Yunusa-Ari, has been arrested by the police.

This online news platform understands that the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed this in a statement on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), had called for the arrest of Hudu over the illegal declaration of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Aisha Dahiru Ahmed, winner of the supplementary poll.

Newsone Nigeria reports that the Nigerian police spokesperson affirmed that Hudu was arrested in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja on Tuesday.
