BREAKING: Terrorists Ambush President Buhari’s Guard, Injure 3 Soldiers

Terrorists have ambushed President Buhari’s guard, injuring 3 soldiers in the process.

Newsone reports that the Presidential Guards Brigade was in a gun duel with terrorists in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Monday, July 25, 2022, barely hours after terrorists threatened to abduct President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Nasir el’Rufai of Kaduna State in a viral video.

This online news platform understands that the ambush on Buhari’s guard by the terrorists left three of the highly-trained officers suffering serious injuries. It is believed that the gunmen planned to attack the Nigerian Law School.

A report monitored on Nigerian Tribune by Newsone Nigeria, quoted a signal sighted by the Newspaper to have confirmed that troops on routine patrol along Kubwa–Bwari were ambushed by the suspected terrorists.

“Three soldiers were injured during the attack. The soldiers have been evacuated for medical attention. Details on the extent of their injuries are still under confirmation.

“The ambush attack happening within the general area of Bwari shows that the terrorists are actually within the location and possibly preparing to carry out their plans to attack the law school in Bwari as earlier reported”, it reads.

Meanwhile, Newsone Nigeria reports that the Presidential Guards Brigade, an elite arm of the Nigerian Army, is responsible for protecting the President of Nigeria. The attack occurred just a day after terrorists threatened to abduct and kill President Muhammadu Buhari and Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
