COVID-19 cases and the number of coronavirus in Nigeria recorded January 3rd has been revealed.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday evening, 3rd January 2021, confirmed 917 new cases of coronavirus disease infection in Nigeria.

The new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed via a statement on the official Twitter handle of the health agency.

NewsOne Nigeria reports that the development brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 90,080 which includes 75,044 discharged cases and 1,311 deaths.

Below is the breakdown of the latest cases according to states with FCT recording the highest number of new confirmed cases, followed by Lagos State and Kaduna State, northern Nigeria.
