What Atiku Said About Xenophobic Attacks On Nigerians
Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019, has condemned the recent Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians residing in South Africa.
YaahooJournalist reports that properties including cars belonging to Nigerians in the country were set ablaze by South Africans in the wake of the Xenophobic attacks.
In a viral video, South Africans also looted shops belonging to Nigerians. No fewer than three persons were reportedly killed.
Reacting to the Xenophobic attacks in a tweet on Tuesday, Atiku called on the South African authorities and the African Union to bring the attacks to an end.
His words: “Reported attacks against Nigerians in South Africa is unacceptable and stands condemned.
“Urgent steps need to be taken with the SA authorities and the African Union to bring an end to this ill wind that can only end up destroying the fabric of our African brotherhood,” Atiku added.
