ASUU and FG meeting on ASUU Strike have ended.

Newsone reports that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has once again rejected the plea to call off its ongoing ASUU Strike.

This online news platform understands that the union, which met with Federal Government officials on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, maintained its stance on ASUU Strike.

Newsone Nigeria reports that Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, was part of the meeting that ended without a truce.

Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, Chairman of the Union, accused the Federal Government of withholding the salaries of lecturers so as to force them to return to classrooms.
